Gawd DAMN aren’t these Right Wing assholes just a JOY to have around! Don’t you just love the profound, deep respect they have for women?
Supreme Court leaves in place lower court decision banning emergency abortions in Texas
There has been a spike in complaints that pregnant women in medical distress have been turned away from emergency rooms in Texas and elsewhere as hospitals grapple with whether standard care could violate strict laws against abortion.
Pregnancy terminations have long been part of medical treatment for patients with serious complications, as way to to prevent sepsis, organ failure and other major problems. But in Texas and other states with strict abortion bans, doctors and hospitals have said it is not clear whether those terminations could run afoul of abortion bans that carry the possibility of prison time.
Texas sues to block federal rule protecting health records of women crossing state lines for abortions
In the suit filed [in September] in Lubbock, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton accused the federal government of attempting to "undermine" the state's law enforcement capabilities. It appears to be the first legal challenge from a state with an abortion ban that took effect after the U.S. Supreme Court's 2022 ruling that overturned Roe v. Wade and ended the nationwide right to abortion.
"With this rule, the Biden Administration makes a backdoor attempt at weakening Texas's laws by undermining state law enforcement investigations that implicate medical procedures," Paxton said in a news release.
The rule essentially prohibits state or local officials from gathering medical records related to reproductive health care for a civil, criminal or administrative investigation from providers or health insurers in a state where abortion remains legal. It is intended to protect women who live in states where abortion is illegal.

And hurray! Texas is using advanced technology to track women who get an abortion!
From the Independent:
A Texas sheriff’s office tapped into a nationwide network of tens of thousands of automatic license plate readers to locate a woman who had a self-managed abortion, raising alarms from privacy and abortion access advocates.
On May 9, an officer with the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office used a tool called Flock to access a nationwide network of some 83,000 license plate readers as part of its search.
Abortion is almost entirely illegal in Texas, but the search included cameras in states where abortion is legal, like Washington and Illinois, according to data obtained by tech news website 404 Media.
Georgia Supreme Court reinstates 6-week abortion ban
The Supreme Court of Georgia has reinstated the state’s ban on abortions that was struck down recently by a lower court.
On Monday, the court reinstated the law that was passed more than two years ago by the Georgia General Assembly, ruling the ban could remain in place while it considers the state’s appeal to a Sept. 30, 2024, ruling that found the law unconstitutional...
“Elected officials in our state continue their disrespect of Georgia women, treating our bodies as state-owned property,” said Andrea Young, executive director of the ACLU of Georgia. “We will persist, using all lawful means to restore dignity, full citizenship and a right to privacy for Georgia’s women.”
Study estimates 64K rape-related pregnancies in states with abortion bans since July 2022; 26K in Texas
The study, which was published in the peer-viewed Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), looked at 14 states that have outlawed abortion and took data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the FBI and the Bureau of Justice Statstics (BJS) to estimate the amount of rapes and rape-related pregnancies that occurred in those states from July 1, 2022, to Jan. 1, 2024.
The states the study looked at were Alabama, Arkansas, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas and West Virginia.
In total, the study estimates that 519,981 rapes occurred in those 14 states and 64,565 of them resulted in pregnancy. Researchers further estimated that 9% of those pregnancies occurred in states with legal exceptions for rape, while 91% of them occurred in states with no exceptions.
And just in time to put the girls in their place...THE THEO BROS, LED BY THEIR HERO J.D. VANCE! (Btw, the young man below is NOT one of them.)

Charlie Kirk
Charlie Kirk's Views On Women And Childbearing Makes Me Sick
In [one of] of Kirk’s videos he states, “The biggest thing is this: more younger women need to get married at a younger age and start having kids. The single woman issue is one of the biggest issues facing a civilization.”
EXCUSE ME??
He continued, “We have more single women in their early 30’s that are the most depressed, suicidal, anxious, and lonely in America’s history because there’s a biological clock that’s going off and they realize that they’re not going to be able to have kids, that they’re not as desirable in the dating market or in the dating pool and so they start to lash out on the rest of society by voting democrat.”
“Just get married early. Reject the siren song of modernity and have lots of kids. Being a partner at a local law firm actually isn’t that big of a deal. Having three kids is a really big deal and will make you happier and it’s okay to be a stay at home mom. In fact, we need a lot of stay at home moms and a lot of women want to be stay at home moms and we have miserable women because we’ve been shuffling them into a corporate wasteland. When in reality, a lot of them don’t find a lot of passion or fulfillment in that line of work. And who can blame them?”
This is some of the most disgusting rhetoric I’ve ever heard. He’s basically saying that a woman’s only purpose is to procreate and if she doesn’t she’ll be miserable and of no use to society.
Kirk Cameron
The creationist/fundy imbecile former child actor has deep thoughts:
During an interview with the Christian Post [in April 2016], evangelist Kirk Cameron said that no matter how wives are treated by their husbands they should be submissive and stay in the marriage because God commands it.
“Wives are to honor and respect and follow their husband’s lead, not to tell their husband how he ought to be a better husband,” Cameron said before claiming that women should know their role so that the marriage can succeed. “When each person gets their part right, regardless of how their spouse is treating them, there is hope for real change in their marriage.”
In other words, even if she is being beaten daily by her husband and treated like a slave, a wife should always remain submissive and basically let her husband do whatever they want without consequence. And it’s all because the Bible says so according to Cameron.
Jason Miller
Jason Miller says it’s “going to be up to the states” whether or not they set up regimes to monitor women’s pregnancies so they can prosecute them for getting out of state abortions.

Doug Wilson
Idaho Trump-loving megachurch pastor opposes a woman’s right to vote
Wilson is known to most non-Trumpers for teaching that wives must obey husbands in all matters, including sex. His most famous aphorism is that God designed the male as the one who "penetrates, conquers, colonizes, plants. A woman receives, surrenders, accepts.” He counsels married couples that sex is "not an egalitarian pleasuring party" so women shouldn't expect to enjoy it as much as men. Wilson advises husbands to tell their wives how to vote.
In addition to being pastor of Christ Church in Idaho, Wilson launched a religious college and models for private schools and homeschoolers, is a popular speaker on the political/ religious revival circuit, and owns a book publishing house. It published his novel "Ride, Sally, Ride" about a Christian student so enraged by his neighbor's sexbot wife, he throws her into a recycling compactor, then faces murder charges.
AND LET’S GIVE A SPECIAL CHEER FOR THE ONE...THE ONLY...THE SHILLBILLY HIMSELF… J. D. VANCE!!!
Just a List of the Bizarre, Gross, and Upsetting Things JD Vance Has Said About Women
1. He agreed that helping raise children is the “whole purpose of the postmenopausal female.”
2. He insinuated that abortion isn’t a “normal” thing that most suburban women care about.
3. He suggested that women can’t be great leaders or teachers without having kids of their own.
4. He said that women choose “a path to misery” when they pursue their careers instead of starting a family.
5. He previously supported a national abortion ban to prevent people from accessing care by crossing state lines.
6. He once implied that a pregnancy resulting from rape or incest may be “inconvenient” but should be carried to term.
7. He said companies that support abortion just want “cheap labor.”

To all this I say…
